Who We are

CHEF FAUNA MARTIN

Fauna was born and raised in Victoria B.C. After completing a degree in political science at UVIC she began to discover the world, traveling Europe, Asia and Australia; where she finally settled for many years. Fauna discoverd her passion for food and cooking during this time. She began her culinary career at Camosun college and completed her four year apprenticeship in some of Australia's top restaurants. Fauna is trained in classic french technique and specializes in 'modern Australian' cuisine. These skills combine for a unique representation of the 'westcoast' style.


CHEF CHRIS WATT

Chris was born in Toronto and raised in Kitchener, Ontario. He initially moved to Victoria in 1998 to attend UVic, but soon left the world of academia to pursue his true passion. Chris first discovered an interest in cooking while peeling prawns at the age of 17 when he was working as a prep cook. He slowly moved his way through each section of the restaurants he worked at: from salads to pastry to pasta to meats and fish. He moved to Vancouver to work at some of the more prestigious restaurants in the city, and to study under highly skilled chefs. He would only work at restaurants that he loved and admired, nothing less. Chris is proud to have earned his Red Seal in cooking. He has always had a passion for catering as he feels it brings the chef closer to the diner. Chris has regularly run “Iron Chef” style cooking competitions with family and friends to raise money for various charities. Chris has been married over 10 years and he and his wife have three beautiful children.
